Japantown Community Benefit District Community Fund

Being a good neighbor and supporter of Japantown community events is an important part of the Japantown Community Benefit District’s mission. It’s one of the ways we connect and promote Japantown through local giving. 

Purpose of the Japantown Community Benefit District Community Fund     
To invest and support programs and activities that will promote Japantown and engage visitors, locals and district merchants.

Who Can Apply
501(c)3 non profit organizations or projects that meet the JCBD Community Fund purpose.

Community Fund Amount
Nonprofit organizations may apply for up to $1,000.00 per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30.).
$10,000.00 is earmarked in our fiscal budget for this fund.

Application Process  
Applicants must complete and submit the Community Fund Application below.

The JCBD Board Officers will review each application. The review process may take up to one month once application is received. JCBD staff will present and make a recommendation to the full Board at a regularly scheduled Board of Directors meeting.

Applicant will be notified within 5 days of JCBD Board approval.

Fund recipients will be required to provide a report to the JCBD within 30 days of the conclusion of the program/activity a summary of the project including materials associated with the project (i.e. publications, photos, media coverage). It should include measurable goals attained, how many people it served/benefitted, attendance, and how did the project meet JCBD Community Fund purpose.
